- Such an upgrade is impossible for $100. Even though the AGA chips are low-tech
- NMOS, they're more expensive than $3, I bet it's even more than $30. What
- you'd need *at least* for that upgrad would be the AGA chips themselves, 2MB
- of RAM (even the A3000's is not fast enough) and a complicated bus interface.
- It's simply not worth the hassle.

- AGA's 800x600x256 are in flickerlace and crawling slow. When you say "may not
- equal a CV64" you're being pretty euphemistic. In the same resolution and
- depth (640x480x256) the CV64 is up to 250 (two hundred and fifty!) times
- faster, according to WSpeed. The absolute minimum graphics speed I expect from
- a new machine is that of an ET4000/W32 like the Merlin has. And this one is
- still ~50 times faster than AGA.
